approaching rapidly there isn’t much time before the onslaught on family and friends hits me in 3 days. It should be a good time as long as the weather holds out. Thank goodness for swimming pools and cold beverages.
Life has been fairly mundane lately. I worked out Sunday and Monday and I plan on going today and tomorrow.
Work is fairly quiet as a lot of clients are off this week. No complaints from me as far as that goes.
Overall I am feeling good, physically and mentally. I need to make sure to keep making time for myself and getting in enough down time. One sure fire sign that I am feeling better is that I wake up hard and horny every morning. I definitely want to keep up that trend in my life, and add a few others too it.
I want to read more. I have three books at home that I want to finish before the end of July.
It looks like that during my trip to Scotland I may get to take a side trip to Paris. Not set in stone yet but I am working on it.
The next step in my eating improvement plan will be a change that could be tough for me. I want to greatly reduce and get close to eliminating all artificial sweeteners from my diet. That means no diet sodas, no diet energy drinks, no flavored waters, etc. After examining my eating and reading labels, there are too many other additives and crap in those things that I should not be putting in my body. This is not going to be an easy habit for me to change though. I drink diet sodas and energy drinks every day. I will not try to stop cold turkey but I will do it in stages.
I still have times when I battle cravings. Ice cream is a real weakness especially when it is hot. I am using fruit or greek yogurt as a substitute. So far it seems to be working most of the time.
I have been in the office an hour already and I am still alone. My boss is out all morning. Four others are gone for the week. The other two people still haven’t shown up. This would be the perfect opportunity to have some naughty fun. Alas, there are no playmates around. Damn my luck. *L*
If I don’t make it back to post tomorrow, have a safe, happy and fun-filled 4th of July weekend!!

I’m also eliminating crap from my diet and it is very hard! I use regular sugar and that high-fructose corn syrup stuff. I have gotten away from the HFCS – soooo sweet when you get away! – but having iced tea or hot tea, without sugar??? Difficult! Best of luck with it – it feels good when you get there! And working out – you are gonna be a buff Cajun before long, how killer is that!
Eliminating HFCS, transfats and artificial sweetners seems to eliminate pretty much everything in a box, bag or carton. Add it excess sodium and preservatives, chemicals, etc…and there is not much left except meat, fish, veggies and fruit. Eating this way is certainly a lot more healthy and probably cheaper. But giving up old, ingrained bad habits is tough. No matter how good it is for me to do. *L*
I mean, I have two boudin stuffed porkchops in my freezer jsut dying to be cooked and eaten. *L*
